Whether you’re looking to track your fitness activities, or you just want a watch that’s stylish and comfortable to wear, the Garmin Vivomove may be the perfect option for you. It offers all-day activity tracking and features a timeless design and an extended battery life.
Whether you are looking for a watch with a waterproof rating or one that is suitable for scuba diving, there are several options available. Garmin has a wide range of wearables, each with its specific water resistance rating. These can vary between 5ATM and 100m.
Water resistance is important because it determines whether your device can withstand the pressure of swimming in water. While most watches can be pushed to a certain depth without damage, it is still important to limit how much time you spend in the water.
Garmin wearables offer a minimum of a 5ATM water rating, which means that the watch can withstand pressure up to 50 meters. It also includes the ability to handle splashes and rain. The watch can also be used for diving, but the maximum depth is not recommended.
Designed to be a low-maintenance, low-cost alternative to a smartwatch, the Garmin Vivomove is a simple, streamlined timepiece that helps you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Its analog face features indicator bars that show how much progress you’ve made in your daily activity.
The face also features a bar that displays your inactivity time. The bar fills with small black segments as you move around.
The watch is water-resistant to 50 meters. The case is made from stainless steel and is sturdy at 67 grams. You can also choose from a leather strap or a silicone strap. The strap is very comfortable.
The watch displays your steps, distance, calories burned, and sleep statistics. The sleep statistics are quite accurate and show how long you slept, the phases you went through, and the total amount of movement you took during your waking hours.
Depending on your definition of the holy grail, a $150 price tag is nothing to sneeze at. However, this device’s battery life will put a kink in your apex if you’re a weekend warrior. Fortunately, the good folks at Garmin have a solution to this problem with their aptly named vivomove line of fitness wearables. The Vivo is a sleek and stylish device that features some of the best fitness tracking and communication technology to date. With the Vivo, you’ll know what’s what in the morning and night. In addition, the vivo is able to sync with a variety of fitness devices like the vivo wireless armband, vivo x3 armband and vivofit armband. These can be used to sync fitness data with your smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer.
Syncs with Garmin Connect app can help you sync your fitness data with your Garmin devices. You can also add friends, and comment on their workouts. The app is free to download, but you need to enter your Garmin account credentials to get started.
Garmin Connect supports a variety of wearable devices. It works with Instinct, Fenix, Edge, Vivoactive, Venu, and GPSMAP Montana, Oregon, and Rino handhelds.
You can manually sync your data from your Garmin device with the Garmin Connect app, or you can let the app automatically sync your data for you. You can also view your history and trend data from your Garmin Connect app, as well as create notes for each measurement. If you want to manually sync your Garmin data with your Garmin Connect app, simply hold down the touchscreen and tap the Sync button.
Despite the Vivomove’s impressive specs and features, a closer inspection revealed its shortcomings. It was the least user-friendly of all the fitness gadgets we tested. Its lack of a vibration motor limits its ability to send and receive notifications.
In addition to its limitations, Vivomove’s display isn’t particularly easy to read during dark hours. The screen is tame in black and brown hues, which isn’t a good thing when you’re attempting to read it while doing your best impersonation of a bumbling night owl.
It’s also a little hard to tell what’s a rogue reading and what’s a legitimate one. It doesn’t offer the ability to delete rogue readings. Aside from its high price tag, there’s no reason to own one.
You’d be better off investing in a better-suited model. The Vivomove is a full year of wearable fun if you’re lucky.
