Tour De Pier Benefits Cancer Research and Support Organizations

Tour de Pier cycling fundraiser, now in its 11th year, raised millions for three non-profit cancer research and support organizations through stationary bikers pedaling Sunday at Manhattan Beach Pier and Strand with celebrity guests cheering them on and South Bay’s finest instructors cheering from afar.

People of all ages flock to Downtown Manhattan Beach to watch the action, shop, and take advantage of extended business hours at restaurants and businesses.

Benefiting Cancer Research

Since 2013, Tour de Pier has raised more than $10.4 million for cancer-fighting charities. This unique fundraising event brings one of South Bay’s hottest indoor fitness activities – stationary cycling – outside to be enjoyed with views over Manhattan Beach Pier and Strand. Registered participants take part in five one-hour sessions led by top instructors to upbeat music.

At the conclusion of their cycling session, participants are invited to enjoy extended hours at restaurants and stores in downtown Manhattan Beach, offering shopping, dining, and holiday cheer! Participants can also donate unwrapped new toys at booths throughout the evening for donation to Beach Cities Toy Drive.

Fun for the Whole Family

Tour de Pier is not only an effective way to raise funds for cancer research but also an enjoyable and entertaining event that the whole family can enjoy! Held in an idyllic open-air venue overlooking Manhattan Beach’s iconic Pier and Strand, with live music performances, food & drink vendors, activities & attractions specifically catered towards kids – and much more!

The Tour de Pier is unique in that it brings one of the hottest indoor fitness trends, stationary cycling. Participants can register for five-hour sessions to ride stationary bikes on The Strand, which overlooks Manhattan Beach’s white sandy beaches and ocean. Our expert instructors and celebrity guests will offer exciting music-fueled sessions to keep riders engaged during each session!

Ride in Place

At this event, hundreds of stationary bikes will line Manhattan Beach Pier and Strand. Participants may share bikes with team members or ride alone; South Bay instructors will lead riders through five one-hour sessions filled with stimulating music and lots of excitement.

Participants of this annual cycling event pedal in honor of loved ones lost to cancer or currently fighting it and raise millions for cancer research over time – expected to surpass $10 million this year alone!

Funds raised through Tour de Pier will be donated to three cancer charities: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach, and Uncle Kory Foundation for Brain Cancer Research. This event attracts participants and attendees from all around the world and inspires them to make an impactful difference for others. Sponsoring Tour de Pier gives your business exposure among health-minded consumers who appreciate companies with similar philanthropic ethos – learn more today about available sponsorship opportunities at this exciting event!
