Understanding how to Create Your Own Website Pages

Within the article, “How to Create Your Website in Eight Quick Steps”, I outlined steps I personally take to create my websites and that of this clients’. Within this article, I’m going to go into more detail on the Second step: Which Pages? of that write-up.

What Exactly Are Web Pages?

The best way to make clear web pages is to look at an online site as a magazine. Within a publication, you have different pages and various topics within a certain specialized niche, well the same goes for your internet site. Your website is made up of pages that discuss different topics as part of your niche. The pages as part of your website are referred to as internet pages or web pages.

Page Judgements

When creating your website you need to know which often pages will be within the idea before you even start to make it. There are a few basic web pages that every website should have — home page, about page, products/services page, contact page along with a sitemap.

Now some may argue that the product/services web page, about page, and sitemap aren’t mandatory, I completely disagree. I believe these web pages are mandatory for the reason that each and every business type website needs all of them in order to let their possible and returning customers learn about their business and their products/services.

The sitemap should be obligatory on all websites, whether not business or personal since it has a triple purpose in order to:

1 – help search engines like google find all the pages on your website easily

2 — help those with an impairment to navigate your website more simpler

3 – help the ones that are looking for something in particular whenever you don’t have a search site functionality

The first two, especially the 2nd, are the most important.

For individual sites usually a home web page, about page and a sitemap are enough, though many people have more than just those 3 pages.

Page Purpose

Every page within your website features a purpose and it’s your job as the website designer to be sure that its purpose is clear. This is particularly important if you’re also causing the content for the website.

This is a list of pages you want to think about including within your website:

House – this page is usually the actual entrance to your website. Its objective is to relate to visitors installed to your website looking for a solution to their own problem, it should explain which problem and how it pertains to you, and present the answer that you found for that issue. Though don’t make it seem like a sales pitch. This will simply turn people away faster than in a blink of an eye. If a website visitor feels they’re being sold in order to they will look else wherever. No one likes to be acquired by, though we all love to hear exactly how others solved the same conditions we have.

About – this kind of page’s purpose is to notify a brief history about your business (or self) as it relates to your website niche topic. Businesses will include their mission statement on this page.

Products/Services – through this page you’ll showcase your own personal products or services that your business presents, or if the website can be a personal one, showcase products that you recommend that are linked to your website’s niche issue. If it’s for a business, present clear information about the merchandise and/or services and give website visitors an option to contact you whenever they need more information. If this site is on a personal internet site don’t overdo it about products and or services anyone includes on this page. Apply it as a place to give personalized reviews of products and/or companies you recommend. This particular review along with the direct connection to the product and/or service goes over much better than just a website with a bunch of links to help products and/or services you feel someone visiting your blog might want to check out. I recommend acquiring no more than 5 reviews using one page, and you can link to different pages where you have more critiques.

Contact – the purpose of these pages is to offer your visitors or customers a way to contact you. You need to include all possible strategies someone might be able to contact you including email address, a form that will allow those to email you directly from your website, phone number (if it’s an enterprise website), and mailing deal. All of the above are extremely crucial to include for a business site. If it’s a personal website you may want to have a form on this webpage for people to email an individual directly.

Resources/Links – this site is another great way to offer evaluations on products, services as well as other websites that you recommend. Ensure that the resources you offer on this particular page are relevant to the particular niche you’ve chosen. If that isn’t relevant but you wish to include it anyways, make sure you mention this on the webpage with the link. (note: should you make these links wide open in a new window, talk about this. Screen readers or perhaps those “new” to the Internet cannot tell the difference between a link that will open in the same window or a new window therefore it is best to tell people this specific. )

Sitemap – this site is widely misunderstood. I use seen so many versions of sitemaps, and some of them have never been pretty. A sitemap should include all pages inside your own website, and no links this direct the visitor to other internet websites. It should be a list of those websites and not a detailed summary of the page. For great examples of sitemaps look at the more popular websites including Google, Yahoo, MSN as well as Amazon. These sites are excellent degrees of ways to create an effective sitemap.

Articles – the purpose of these pages is to offer your visitors info on the niche topic on your website. You should have a link to the page for the article (using the title text as the link), and a brief summary of the article. Don’t just have such a list of all your articles, a number of people are turned off by these lists and you will lose these phones and other sites that present all their articles in better formatting. For examples of how to provide your list of articles take a look at article directories such as EzineArticles. com.

The above are some of the more popular websites you’ll find that makeup websites, nevertheless, they are not all the pages that you might include in their website. What websites you include within your website is up to you and what you intend to present to your visitors.

Some Web site Tips

When you create designs for your pages, be sure to include things like links to all your main websites on each page. This would help not only search engines come across your other pages as less complicated, but also your visitors. Remember that all the pages have the potential to be the entrance to your website. By having a connection to the main pages within your retained area (footer) and a navigational menu for your site nearby the top of the page, you raise the likelihood that when a visitor that will land on that webpage they will navigate to another webpage within your website.
