Brown grew up in a blended family consisting of his mother and stepfather – a dentist. At eight years old, his mother gave him her guitar; soon thereafter he discovered bluegrass music by playing it with local musicians on weekends.
Fox High School assistant principal Zachary Brown has been accused of engaging in sexually predatory conduct with two female students while they attended Fox C-6 school district, according to court filings. These women have now filed suit against officials for failing to stop this behavior from continuing.
Academics
Zachary Brown, 21, was one of three victims killed when their SUV struck a tree and overturned in Placer County. Both other 21-year-old male passengers also perished when trying to avoid a stopped car in front of them and hit an obstacle. It then spun out of control several times before falling off a cliffside.
Brown was born and raised on his family’s Georgia farm where his mother taught home economics and his stepfather, Dr. Jody Moses, is a dentist. Brown first discovered music when his mother gave him his first guitar; as an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and multi-guitar player himself, he credits Zac Brown as being his main source of musical inspiration.
Brown excelled as an all-area offensive lineman at Cherry Hill High School East under coach Mike Melograna and led them to two state titles in football and semifinals in baseball. Additionally, he earned All-County, All-City, and Second Team All-State honors during his senior season.
Brown was honored as an All-Ivy League selection during his four years at Rutgers-Camden and in his sophomore year was recognized as its defensive MVP, leading his Scarlet Raptor defense with 102 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, and five and one-half sacks – also making Dean’s List status.
Zachary Brown is well known as part of the Grammy-winning group Zac Brown Band and as an accomplished solo artist with his own sound. His musical curiosity led to a 2014 EP with Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl as well as delving deeper into pop music on 2019’s The Owl LP; these creative instincts have also enabled him to develop a fan base who are willing to accept these changes with open arms.

Two women identified in the lawsuit as Jane Doe and Mary Doe claim Brown groomed them for sexual activities during their time at Fox High, without them realizing his inappropriate conduct at that time. Both Jane Doe and Mary Doe seek damages in excess of $255,000 each from Michael and Linda Discher of Byrnes Mill who allegedly hosted a pool party for them, allowing one of them to drink alcohol even though she was too young legally; these same Dischers then allowed these same women to get involved in an auto accident which resulted in serious injuries for these two Doe sisters.
Due to the Board of Education policy on litigation pending, the Fox C-6 superintendent stated it is unfortunate Milzark has been accused of misconduct and advised parents to speak with their children and check social media and text message accounts and messages of children in their care.
Community Service
This school is well-known for its community service programs and partnerships with various local organizations and businesses to raise money for students in need of assistance. These efforts have earned numerous awards and accolades, such as being named TikTok’s best high school in 2017.
As well as offering community service, the school offers an abundance of extracurricular activities ranging from sports to performing arts – allowing students to discover their interests and passions. Furthermore, clubs and honor societies exist at the school as well as academic programs and scholarships to encourage creativity.
Students enrolled at this school must complete at least 60 hours of community service to graduate high school. While its student population comes from diverse backgrounds, all are expected to act responsibly and show respect towards others. Students can get involved in various community service projects ranging from tutoring children at nearby elementary schools or parks to cleaning them up or providing food donations to hungry families in their community.
Brown made his freshman season mark by serving as both a backup linebacker and special teams contributor, earning All-ACC recognition and playing in Auburn University’s bowl game against St. John’s University. Following that experience, he signed with St. John’s in November to continue his football career.
Born and raised near Lake Lanier in Atlanta, Georgia, he learned how to play guitar from his mother at age eight before discovering an interest in music from all genres ranging from pop and country to bluegrass.
According to Mary Doe and Jane Doe’s lawsuit, Milzark began grooming them while they were attending Fox High. He allegedly disclosed inappropriate and intimate details of his personal life through text messages, phone calls, and social media platforms like Facebook Messenger as well as inviting both women to an alcohol-served pool party at his Byrnes Mill home that allowed them to drive while impaired.
Athletics
Fox C-6 School District operates a high school in Arnold, Missouri which offers education management, special education, and summer programs to the surrounding students. At present, over 300 students attend this school with over 50 staff members on staff; students can select programs such as music, arts, and sports for further enrichment at school; additionally, an online option allows those unable to attend physical classes still participate.
The lawsuit alleges that Zach Brown, an assistant principal who taught at Fox C-6 high school and was named in Jane Doe and Mary Doe’s suit as Jane Doe and Mary Doe respectively in 2010, 2011, and 2012, groomed two women for sexual activity and engaged in inappropriate relationships between 2010 and 2012. These individuals also filed civil claims against the Fox C-6 school district.
Brown was an all-state and all-region selection as a four-year varsity player for Cherry Hill High School East under coach Mike Melograna and was honored with being placed on their first-team all-conference squad during both junior and senior seasons. Additionally, he competed on UNC’s track and field team.
On top of his athletic success, he also excels academically. In the 2016-17 and 2017-18 academic years, he earned an honorable mention from the New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention team as a dean’s list student. Furthermore, he achieved success as a wrestler by winning state, regional, and county championships for his weight class as a freshman and junior wrestler respectively.
The legal guardian of the University of Connecticut men’s basketball recruit Zach Brown announced on Tuesday that the 7-foot center left Miami High for academic reasons and transferred to Putnam Science Academy, a prep school near the UConn campus in Storrs, Conn. Michael Lipman declined to comment regarding sexual assault allegations made against Brown; an attorney representing two women filed the sexual assault lawsuit in St. Louis Circuit Court through Steven Andrew Trefts from St. Louis.
